Fall Session Update
September 25, 2005 - November 4, 2005

 

  • 2,957 6th grade students attended Outdoor School during the Fall session
  • 21,960 eggs were eaten
  • Over 2,500 songs were sung
  • Over 3.5 inches of rain fell during Fall session
  • 920 pounds of bananas were consumed
  • 710 Student Leaders volunteered one week of service to the Outdoor School during Fall session
  • Over 4,000 wood cookies were cut
  • 30 trees were planted
  • Teeth were brushed over 5,500 times
  • Outdoor School was staffed by 88 dedicated men and women during the Fall session
  • Almost 12,000 staples were put in student's soil profile cards
  • Rain fell on 27 of the 42 days of Fall session
  • Over 4,400 showers were taken
  • 1,220 pounds of ground beef were eaten
  • Wind speed reached a high of 32 miles per hour
  • Over 360 skits were performed
  • 5,040 hamburger patties were eaten

  • 6,250 apples were served
  • The highest temperature during Fall session was 73 degrees on October 21st
  • Over 18,000 beads were awarded to students for field studies and other activities
  • 525 pounds of carrots were served
  • The lowest temperature during Fall session was 38 degrees on October 27th
  • 100 24 pound turkeys were consumed
