FIELD INSTRUCTOR

The Multnomah Education Service District in Portland, OR seeks individuals for their sixth grade residential Outdoor School program. The Multnomah ESD is hiring for five Outdoor School sites and is taking applications for 20 positions. There are four field instructors at each site. The four field instructors specialize in one of four field study areas, which include: plants, animals, water or soil science. Field instructors plan and develop the sixth grade curriculum for their field study area, train a program leader to assist them, train and mentor high school student leaders to help teach the field study, supervise sixth grade students, assist in daily duties, recreation and other duties as assigned. May be used for an internship program.

PROGRAM LEADER

The Multnomah Education Service District in Portland, OR seeks individuals for their sixth grade residential
Outdoor School program. The Multnomah ESD is hiring for five Outdoor School sites and is taking applications for 34 positions. Program leaders supervise sixth grade students, supervise and mentor high school student leaders, assist in teaching environmental field studies, supervise daily duties, recreation, and other duties as assigned. May be used for an internship program.

OREGON TRAIL SITE SUPERVISOR (Spring Only)

The Multnomah Education Service District in Portland, OR is looking for a Site Supervisor for their fourth grade
residential Oregon Trail Overnight program. This program is based on the theme of Oregon History and includes
environmental education, living history, social studies, language arts, art, music, physical education, science,
mathematics and reading. The site supervisor must: implement the Oregon Trail program and schedule,
supervise staff, provide training, direction, and feedback to staff, conduct teacher and parent volunteer training,
supervise fourth grade students, supervise and perform food serving functions, work with site owners and caretakers, coordinate activities, confer with teachers, follow district and program procedures, live on-site
Monday - Thursday, and perform other duties as assigned.

OREGON TRAIL FIELD INSTRUCTOR (Spring Only)

The Multnomah Education Service District in Portland, OR seeks individuals for their fourth grade residential Oregon Trail Overnight program. The Multnomah ESD is taking applications for 3 positions. The three field instructors specialize in field study areas that cover all academic areas. This program is based on the theme of Oregon History and includes environmental education, living history, social studies, language arts, art, music, physical education, science, mathematics and reading. Field instructors lead forty minute activities, train parents and teachers to lead two twenty minute activities, supervise fourth grade students, assist in daily duties, recreation activities and other duties as assigned. . May be used for an internship program.

OREGON TRAIL PROGRAM LEADER/HEALTH ASSISTANT (Spring Only)

The Multnomah Education Service District in Portland, OR seeks individuals for their fourth grade residential Oregon Trail Overnight program. The Multnomah ESD is taking applications for 2 positions. The two to three program leader/health assistants specialize in field study areas that cover all academic areas and work under supervision of a registered nurse to provide first aid and health care. This program is based on the theme of Oregon History and includes environmental education, living history, social studies, language arts, art, music, physical education, science, mathematics and reading. Program leaders may lead forty minute activities, train parents and teachers to lead two twenty minute activities, supervise fourth grade students, assist in daily duties, recreation activities and other duties as assigned. . May be used for an internship program.
