Hold a FOODS Holiday House Party

Help us reach our goal of 2,500 FOODS members.

Celebrate 40 years of Outdoor School with friends and family by hosting a Friends of Outdoor School Holiday House Party. If you're already planning a party, consider introducing Outdoor School into the event.

What is a House Party?

A House Party is a small-scale fundraiser held in a residence by people who support the Outdoor School program. It is a way for you and your friends and neighbors to learn about Outdoor School and FOODS efforts to sustain this dynamic program. House Parties not only help raise funds and generate FOODS members, but also are a great way to have some fun with friends, neighbors, relatives, and co-workers during this holiday season.

We can provide materials to keep the party fun and informative. Please contact Scott Welch (503-257-1774) to receive a holiday house party package containing:

  • FOODS information (brochures, window stickers, luggage tags)
  • 10-minute Outdoor School Video
  • Invitation design
  • Volunteer sign-up sheet
  • Photocopies of recent articles and other information

Your guests can support Outdoor School without creating mountains of paperwork or fancy accounting for you. They can join FOODS online or fill out a membership form included in the provided FOODS brochures. Membership forms include a self-contained envelope so they can simply be paced in the mail (with postage).

100 percent of proceeds raised from FOODS House Party's will directly support Outdoor School operations.
